I have been trained in Emotion Focused Couple’s Therapy and I feel it is one of the best methods for saving marriages and relationships.

Emotion Focused Therapy or EFT has been studied more than any other kind of couple’s therapy and the outcome studies are showing excellent and lasting results. EFT has been validated by over 20 years of empirical research. There is also research on the change processes and predictors of success.

EFT has been shown effective with male-female as well as same-sex couples.

A respectful and strengths-based approach, EFT can help couples learn the patterns that keep them stuck and develop new, fulfilling ways of interacting and developing a “dance” of loving intimacy.

Research studies find that 70-75% of couples move from distress to recovery and approximately 90% show significant improvements. Follow up studies show that couples who have completed EFT  even continue to improve after therapy is over. That’s better than almost any other type of couple’s therapy!

EFT is being used with many different kinds of couples in private practice, university training centres and hospital clinics and many different cultural groups throughout the world. These distressed couples include partners suffering from disorders such as depression, post traumatic stress disorders and chronic illness.
